Course Overview

A 36-class course to experience the yoga therapy of each of the 12 meridians in depth. Balance your meridians and learn which ones need more work to restore functions you thought you’d lost forever. We need to use it or we lose it. Discover which classes and specific yoga therapy moves make the biggest impact for you and repeat them daily, or often, to help restore function and balance on all levels. Week 5—Liver meridian | Wood element

Week 6—Gallbladder meridian | Wood element

Week 7—Heart meridian | Fire I element

Week 8—Small intestine meridian | Fire I element

Week 9—Heart constrictor meridian | Fire II element

Week 10—Triple heater meridian | Fire II element

Week 11—Spleen meridian | Earth element

Week 12—Stomach meridian | Earth element

Weekly Content

Each week, there are 3 one-hour classes to explore that week’s meridian:

  • Spirit class—easier, light movements; to move past your perceived barriers

  • Mind class—held poses; to reconnect the mind and the body through the breath

  • Body class—harder, stronger moves; to straighten, strengthen and realign the spine and whole body.

Please take as long as you need to do the course and repeat classes as often as you like. In general, it’s better to progress through the course in the order given because each week builds on the last. However, if you’re working on a particular issue or imbalance, it can be very helpful to focus on the hard exercises in the related meridians or elements for as long as necessary to restore function and balance.

Course handouts

The course handouts, written by me, are to support your learning each week by explaining the elements, the symptoms of imbalance and the lifestyle that promotes balance.
