Kids’ yoga therapy classes

Thursdays 3:45 pm – 4:30 pm for 6–12 year olds

Primary kids love to learn how their bodies and minds work. They’re motivated to do yoga poses if they know why they’re doing them and get to experience the difference it makes in their own bodies. They’re naturally competitive at this age but yoga is a perfect way to learn to how to connect to their heart and still their mind so they can find contentment and peace inside, irrespective of what others can do. Classes teach self-regulation, safe emotional expression, build self-esteem, set a firm foundation for life, and incorporate specific therapy moves to help with a broad range of health issues. Breathing, meditation and reflection time are always favourite activities. Classes have consistent structure and boundaries so that kids feel safe, supported and seen. Classes follow the school terms.
